Description:

The energy refurbishment proposal will provide a new building performance to the existing one, which will save energy and CO2 emissions.

After the consulting and the energy simulation, the proposals will be focused on three zones:

Spa. The constructive proposal are to improve the thermal insulation, to replace existing Carpentry by a new one made of aluminum with thermal break, double glass with air chamber and low thermal transmittance, to place insulation in the slab  of the swimming pool and to create two swimming pools with different temperatures. In the systems area, it will be installed a new 500kW biomass boiler and heat recovery equipment in the ventilation system. To optimize the management and use will be installed occupancy, temperature and humidity sensors.

Fitness Center. This space will be located on the ground floor of the building, where currently meeting spaces and living room stand. The constructive proposals include replacing one existing window by a new one made of aluminum with thermal break, double glass with air chamber and low thermal transmittance; installing subdivisions interior panels made ​​of Oriented Strand Board (OSB); laying bamboo parquet flooring made of FSC certified wood (Forest Stewardship Council) and using natural paints without Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
