Description
The team of Arquitectura Ambiental has worked closely with the MSGSSS Architecture Office in implementing sustainability criteria in the 3M headquarter office building.
Through an integrated design, developed through the whole life cycle project, Arquitectura Ambiental has implemented strategies that aim at achieving high performance in key areas such as human health and environment: Sustainable sites development, water use reduction, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.
Throughout the life cycle´s building it will be reduced the consumption of construction and raw materials, the construction waste generated on site, the contamination of soil, air and water, the biodiversity loss, the water and energy consumption and the emissions of polluting gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect.
The aim has been to achieve a permanent and positive change in the phases of planning, design, construction, use, maintenance, recycling and renewal, which will contribute to a lower impact, more sustainability and regeneration in built environments.
