According to the Royal Decree 235/2013, it is mandatory the submission for buyers or tenants of the energy performance certificate of the whole or part of a building. This presentation will be obligatory in the case of sale or lease contracts from June 1st, 2013.

This energy efficiency certificate assigns to each building one energy class, which varies from an A, for the most efficient building, to a G for the less one.
