This is a design proposal for a rural education centre located in a place directly related to an agroforestry environment. A small constructed area with low environmental impact will service an area of native landscaping, which is directly related to the immediate rural environment.
A proposed sustainability criteria arises in all its aspects. The intervention is based on an absolute respect for the preexisting conditions and context. In a space-city limit, which is located between the urban and the rustic space, where the proposal will be developed. The existing topography will be respected and minimal earthworks will be performed.
The main concepts of the proposal are to establish a gradation between the urban and the rustic space, ensure a vegetable continuity with its context, focus the views towards the agroforestry space of Can Xercavins and establish a visual-acoustic filter regarding the roads which border the site area and create a network of space of communication linking the different areas.
